What did Captain Cook call Sydney?

James Cook (not yet a captain at that stage) named the bay south of where Sydney now stands botany Bay.

At that stage, Sydney did not exist. There was no settlement there. Later, Sydney developed on Port Jackson, which Cook named in 1770 after Judge Advocate of the Fleet.
