"condemned every sort of advance in science as the work of the devil. pretty much what they do today. The ones who condemned the advancements of science during the Renaissance were the Roman Catholic church, not Protestant Christians." The previous writer shows a lack of knowledge on the subject. The Roman Catholic Church supports advance in Science, as it does in all discipline. As science advances man is able to be more fully human. Catholics do hold, however, that science cannot contradict faith. It is true the Church has condemned some sciencentific advances. However, true science can never contradict true faith, because God is the master and creator of both. God, who made the world and expects us to believe in and love him, could never have created things that would contradict that belief.
