Cinderella lost her glass slipper as she was leaving the Ball. She was leaving in a hurry, and was being chased. She didn't have time to return to grab her shoe, and fell off of her foot on some stairs.
Cinderella's mother dies and her father remarries. The new wife has two daughters who are jealous of Cinderella's youth and beauty, and force her to become a servant in her own home. When the Prince of the land throws a ball, Cinderella is automatically excluded by the rest of the household. Her fairy godmother conjures a gown and turns a pumpkin into a carriage so she can attend, but the spell is temporary and will break at midnight. Cinderella is the most beautiful girl at the ball. No one recognizes her, and the Prince falls madly in love with her. When midnight strikes, Cinderella flees, and the Prince finds her glass slipper on the steps. He vows to marry the girl whose foot fits the shoe. The two stepsisters chop off their big toes and heels to fit the slipper, but the blood gives them away. At last Cinderella steps forth, and the (bloody) glass slipper fits perfectly. She and the Prince are happily married, and the stepsisters are blinded as punishment for their cruelty. Happily ever after.
There are 1,036 steps at the Potala Palace. This figure only includes those inside. Including the outside it has 2,564 steps
Cinderella drops a glass slipper on the steps as she flees the royal ball.
Cinderella got to the ball in a coach drawn by horses. In the Disney version, the coach was apumpkin originally and the horses were transformed mice. In other versions, a different vegetable was used to make the carriage.
Nothing. It burned down in 1936 but the stone plinths and steps are still in situ.
