His words of wisdom were designed to bring about morality and peace among the people with whom he had contact with.Rulers and heads of families were taught that the two aforementioned systems of belief would bring about a spiritual and realistic method and style of dealing with nature and other human beings. Justice and right minded living were his goals. There was no aggression in his idea. Sadly for the West, little was known about Confucius although the centers of western philosophy in ancient Greece for example were developing in about the same period of time.
