What did Emmeline Pankhurst do during the war?

After a time the Suffragettes become very unpopular, when the first world was broke out Emiline put her efforts to help the soldiers, she made parliament free suffrages to turn their efforts to the war. She protested against violence and supported the governments war plans. During the war Emiline visited The United States, Canada, and Russia where she gave encouraging speeches. She changed WUPS's to The Women's Party.
