it depends on if they want to change how they speak to match the country's way that the people that live there speak like. if they take lots of speaking classes and things like that then yes, i believe they're accent could change. if they simply don't want to change their accent then, most likely you won't just change accents over a year or two, but it might be possible for it to change over a long period of time.
