The Germans had to destroy their military weapons, vehicles and ammunition. Many countries who were part of the Treaty of Versailles got their tanks, planes and other militaria. They had to reduce their army down to 100,000 troops. They were not allowed to use mechanized planes nor were they allowed to manufacture any war making devices of any sort. This destroyed their economy as people lost their jobs in that industry. The monetary reparations to other countries ruined the economy. Germans hated the Treaty of the Versailles.
