Micah warned the people about God's judgment on Israel as well as Judah for the sins of their rulers, prophets and priests.
A victory for God's kingdom
Micah preached that Goodness lies in the practice of social justice and in faithfulness to the one true God.
He believed in one god
Micah delivered a message calling for social justice, rebuking corruption, and emphasizing the importance of genuine faithfulness to God. He condemned the oppression of the poor by the powerful, warned of the consequences of wickedness, and encouraged repentance and a return to God's ways.
Because he was commissioned by God to do so, and because he was obedient he did.
Micah wrote to the people of Judah to warn them that God's judgment was approaching because they had rejected God and his law. Micah also encouraged the godly few, assuring them that judgment would not permanenty destroy Israel. The nation would eventually be restored. Micah is the sister book of Isaiah. Jesus Christ is portrayed as a Witness against rebellious nations.
The book of Micah is a warning of judgment from God Almighty. It is a warning to those who sin and those who oppress others. In Micah 6:8 we have that well known verse where God tells us what He requires of us, which is ... "to do justly, and love mercy, and to walk humbly with the LORD." A number of the prophecy books are warning messages to God's people. Warnings to "do what is right in the Lord's sight". And warnings of judgment upon those who continue to disobey God.
Akinfenwa or Micah Richards, it's a close call
God's prophet Micah. (Micah 5:2) True to these words, Jesus was born in the Judean village of Bethlehem in what is now called the year 2 B.C.E
Micah, prophecying in the eighth century BC, foretold the destruction of Jerusalem (which Jesus also spoke about), and how Gentiles would come to Jerusalem to learn about God (which Jesus also spoke about). However, the most prominent connection between Micah and Jesus is the overtly messianic prophecy in Micah 5:2 which foretells where the Messiah (Jesus) will be born: Bethlehem.
Micah Stinson goes by Micah.
It was foretold by God in the book of Micah, about 730 years before Christ's birth, that the child Jesus would be born in Bethlehem. (Micah 5.2)
