The island, bridge and straits are all spelled Mackinac and pronouned "Mack-in-awe". Mackinaw is the correct spelling for Mackinaw City and the outerwear of the same name. "Mack-in-nac" is an incorrect pronunciation and is the fastest way to spot a tourist.
