Very much the same. -The Doolittle raid did not do much actual damage, but was a huge Propaganda success. The Japanese now feared that American aircraft could strike them at will !

People in Japan were rarely aware of small allied bombing raids, such as Doolittle's raid because the government did not publicly release that they had been bombed, in trying to continue to look invincible to the rest of the world.

Radiation taints the ground, everyone in the blast radius of the initial explosion would be decimated. Look at Hiroshima, Japan, or Nagasaki, Japan (not sure on spelling), they were bombed by an atomic bomb, and still have radiation poisoned in the ground.
