Jews say that Esau sold his birthright to Jacob
Christians say that Esau sold his birthright to Jacob
Muslims say that Esau got the birthright from Issac
God chose Jacob over Esau based on His divine will and purpose, not because of anything Jacob or Esau had done. This decision was part of God's larger plan to fulfill His promises to Abraham and Isaac, and to establish the lineage through which Jesus Christ would eventually be born.
no he didnt
For Jacob I have loved and Esau I have hated. That being said God did not save Esau but God did give him wives and a land all his own and children, in other words even though we know for sure Esau was not saved and Jacob was, God did not leave him totally deprived. Esau loved his wife and children and even had the ability to forgive his brother Jacob 20 years later after he stole his birthright. Jesus says is it not easier to tell someone that their sins be forgiven them or to heal them of their blindness. If someone is sick its because of the sinful world we chose from the beginning and it is not Gods fault, But dont worry He will fix it soon. And God will choose whom God will choose. I sam 2-6 its pretty self explanitory.
Jacob and Esau were at odds because of a combination of sibling rivalry and their differing personalities. Esau, the elder twin, felt wronged by Jacob for taking his birthright and blessings, which led to resentment and animosity between them. Their parents' favoritism and personal ambitions also contributed to their conflict.
Catholics say that a miraculous, unexplainable process called the Incarnation put the physical baby Jesus in Saint Mary's womb.
Rebecca was the sister of Laban (Genesis 24) and was secured as a bride for Isaac. She was the mother of Esau and Jacob (Genesis 25:19-26). She was taken by Abimelech as sister of Isaac; returned (Genesis26:1-11). She encouraged Jacob to trick Isaac out of blessing (Genesis 27:1-17).
Her son Esau always disliked her, since she saw through his hypocrisy and favored Jacob. Many interpretations say her failure to continue onwards in the narrative is indicative of her taking the curse of helping Jacob cheat his father and brother.
In the King James version the words - Jesus loves you - do not appear. the words - I have loved you - appear three times, twice attributed to Jesus # Mal 1:2 I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? Saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob, # Joh 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. # Joh 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you
Historians say that Mary whom Jesus was born from the womb of, had a mother born from the line of Judah and that Mary's dad was from the line of Levi. So that would make Mary half of both.
