Jesus was angry with the temple traders because they were exploiting worshippers by selling goods and changing money inside the temple, which was meant to be a place of prayer and worship. He viewed their actions as a corruption of the sanctity of the temple.
One common prayer that may be used is the "Prayer for Protection." This prayer can be found in Psalms 91:9-10, which reads, "If you say, 'The LORD is my refuge,' and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent." Praying for protection and invoking the name of the Lord can help in casting out negative or evil spirits from a house.
People pray to churches because they believe that churches is a house of God and as Jesus has mention that " My house shall be called the house of prayer of all nation".
Isaiah is the prophet. But the account is recorded in Mathew
A:In the gospels, Jesus could be both irrational and angry. For example, Mark 11:13-15 tells of Jesus cursing a fig tree for not bearing fruit out of season. Most famously, Jesus angrily overturned the tables of the monechangers in the Temple, even though they were performing a necessary duty sanctioned by the Temple priests.
I wouldn't say anger but deep disappointment here:Luke 19:45-47New King James Version (NKJV) Jesus Cleanses the Temple45 Then He went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in it, 46 saying to them, "It is written, 'My house is a house of prayer,' but you have made it a 'den of thieves.'" 47 And He was teaching daily in the temple. But the chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people sought to destroy Him,Remember, even after being tortured, spat upon and crucified, Jesus asked His Father to forgive them all.
International House of Prayer was created in 1999.
A Healing House of Prayer was created in 1987.
Isaiah 56:7 (Mark 11:17)
A:All the gospels agree that Jesus cleansed the Temple, overturning the tables of the moneychangers and the seats of those who sold doves, because they had made the house of his father a den of thieves. The synoptic gospels (Matthew, Mark and Luke) place this event at the very end of his ministry as the trigger for the arrrest of Jesus. John's Gospel uses the miracle of the resurrection of Lazarus as the trigger for the arrest of Jesus, and so moves the cleansing of the Temple to the beginning of the mission of Jesus.
