King Saul disobeyed God by not destroying all those of the Amalek; he was to slay both man and woman, infant and suckling and their life stocks. (see 1Sam.15). He did not kill the Amalekite King Agag and the life stocks. Also he performed the sacrifice unto the Lord, which is to be done only by the priest.

First Saul started of as a very good king, but then he back slided in a way, he failed to listen to god command. and the prophet Samuel warned him many times for doing wrong.

He back slided from God , he did not listen to the prophet Samuel, he did not kill all the animals Samuel told him to kill.He took wives from other tribes.
