Leonardo da vinci did many things to contribute to the Renaissance by expanding the fields of science and anatomy greatly. He found how the muscle and bone structure works by cutting open dead bodies he "took" from the hospital. He designed the helicopter and a tank. All the drawings but we use the today. Leonardo was the geinus of the Renaissance and who knows what the world would be like today if he wasn't born?
