On the Third Monday of JanuaryMartin Luther King Day - in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. - is an official holiday in the US, which is celebrated on the third Monday of January. Martin Luther King, Jr. is most famous for his "I had a dream" speech, which stressed that the color of a person's skin is of no importance.
Martin Luther King JR. was NOT a minister. His father, Martin Luther King, was a minister. Martin Luther King JR. was a wonderful speaker. He inherited his speaking ability from his father, Martin Luther King. MLK JR. spoke to us about stopping segregation. Couple months after that, he was assassinated. MLK (dad) was a minister and spoke about God, and the Holy Bible. He is like any other minister, except he was MLK JR.'s father. Both WONDERFUL men. ~Angeline
