The Buon fresco technique consists of painting in pigment mixed with water on a thin layer of wet, fresh,lime mortar or plaster.

Michelangelo Buonarrotti (1475-1564) was a sculptor and painter, and designed architectural facades. Michelangelo is best known for his creation of the paintings that adorn the ceiling and altar walls of the Sistine Chapel - the ceiling being a scene from Genesis and the Altar walls mural representing The Last Judgment. He also sculpted several famous statues including "David" and "The Pietà" (the latter currently located in Vatican City).
Don't you really mean scaffolding? It is a temporary platform, either supported from below or suspended from above, on which workers sit or stand when performing tasks at heights above the ground. For instance Michelangelo had to use this when painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.

For the ceiling, just a bit over 4 years. That was the time from start to finish. But during that time Michelangelo was absent for at least two long periods. Then came the "Last Judgement", which took 6 years.
He will be chosen in a secret conclave held in the Sistine Chapel. The cardinals use a paper ballot and a pen. No modern voting machines are used.
Michelangelo did not use cartoons for this work. This was very unusual.
