During that time, the crew was debriefed extensively on their mission by NASA scientists and those who designed the experiments the astronauts left on the moon. After their quarantine ended, the crew was honored in parades in New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles along with numerous speaches. Following the parades, the crew departed on a world tour in which they presented flags and pieces of moon rocks to various world leaders.
