The leaders of nations are also the victims of the nature of economies. By the time Obama stepped into the position of president the US financial system had long been in turmoil with massive debt to china being the biggest problem. The decision to put social money into the economy to try to alleviate the situation had already been made so the stimulus did not originate in his administration. Obama does know however that money is made round to go around and if you run an economy where the collection of the symbol of wealth stands above using that symbol to improve the standards of life you end up in a situation of stagnation. Interestingly enough wealth is nothing if it is not being used. Obama is trying to Use the governments money to improve the standard of living of the governments money owners. When your country's wealth is spent locally you end up with a healthier wealthier better educated worker and that make you more competitive, because you become better.
