Nothing. Osama bin Laden used to be a US ally--he was one of the Mujahideen fighting the Soviets in Afghanistan, and al Qaeda was his army. Oliver North wrote about Abu Nidal, Abu Nidal started Fatah-the Revolutionary Council (better known as the Abu Nidal Organization). Abu Nidal was a much more dangerous terrorist than Osama bin Laden is--he hated more people (I used to have a book about terrorists that listed all the people Abu Nidal hated...it would have reminded you of the scene in the Bugs Bunny cartoon where he got the list of the animals the Tasmanian Devil likes to eat.
