I looked her up and info on her is pretty sketchy. They think she was born in 2 or 3 AD and they know she was a Christian from a wealthy Roman family. She was married to pagan named Valerian who she converted to Christianity. His brother also was converted and the two of them took on the task of burying the dead martyrs who died for Christianity. Finally, the brothers are arrested and sentenced to death for their actions. Meanwhile Cecilia is still converting people until she, too, is finally arrested. She is sentenced to death through suffocation in the Roman baths. After three days in the baths she was found alive so she was sentenced to be beheaded. When they tried to behead her they failed and she lived with wounds on her neck for 3 days before she died.
