They were all cathode ray TVs operated by vacuum tubes. The transistor had not been invented. Most were small 7" to 10" screens in large wooden cabinets. They all produced black & white pictures as the color TV had not been invented. All sound was mono with no stereo. Reliability was poor with vacuum tubes needing replacement regularly.

Life was different 400 to 500 years ago. There weren't televisions, there were no phones. Food had to be caught, not bought at a store.
They were bulky and most came in a console. A console is like a piece of furniture and the t.v. is set inside of it. The speakers were usually on each side of the t.v.
Homes 100 years ago were very simple. These homes did not have television, fancy lighting, or computers in every room.
