One man rarely changes history very much. If someone else were President instead of Wilson, the US might have entered WW I sooner or later. It is hard to say, but we probably would have got into the war no matter who was President and once we were in the war, the President did not have much effect. However, if we had stayed out of WW I, Germny might have won, and if so, WW II might never have taken place. Who can say?

Woodrow Wilson was married more than once. He was first married to Ellen Louise Axon. Their wedding day was on June 24,1885. He was married to her for 29 years, but Ellen's death in 1914 lead Woodrow Wilson to deep sadness and put an end to their lovely time together. About one year later, he remarried another woman named Edith Bolling Galt. Their wedding day was on December 18, 1915. They were married for about 9 years before Wilson died on February 3, 1924.
President Woodrew Wilson. He appointed A. Mitchell Palmer as his general. Once appointed Mitchell changed his ideas about civil rights. He believed that the Russian comunists were trying to overthrow the US government. He arrested 16,000 SUSPICIOUS people total. Most of these people were releasd , but some were deported to Russia. This became known as the Palmer Raids. People began to dislike Palmer and he made the Espionage and Sedition acts in 1917 and 1918.
