Some examples include Santa Fe (New Mexico), San Jose (California), San Antonio (Texas) and San Jose del Cabo (Mexico).

One of the most dramatic examples of this is the Plaza de las Tres Culturas, in Mexico City. Located a few miles away from downtown Mexico City, it is a public square where you can find both the remains of the ancient temple of Tlatelolco built by the Aztec civilization, the Santiago de Tlatelolco Catholic church built by the Spanish in the 17th century, and the modern Nonoalco-Tlatelolco housing complex, built around 1964.
