What did colonial Pennsylvania people wear?

In general, men wore knee breeches, stockings, and shirts. On top of these was worn a waistcoat and a coat, the cut of which varied by date. A man either wore his hair long (style depending on date), or he might have worn a wig instead.

Women wore a chemise, and over that stays (a corset). She wore petticoats, and then a dress or a skirt and bodice combination. She might wear a fichu (a kerchief to cover the decolletage). She would usually wear a cap or bonnet.
