Labrador's are made for hunting, swimming, and, labrador's are made for police dogs too.
According to Guide Dogs of America, "We use 70% Labrador Retrievers, 15% Golden Retrievers, and 15% German Shepherds." They also say that they need, "dogs that not only had excellent health, intelligence, and temperament, but also exhibited a willingness to work, and that thrived on praise."
It really depends on the dog. If you get a puppy and train it, then yes, it will be, but I have a kelipe who was friendly then she got jumped by a labrador. Now she gets afraid of other dogs, so yes it depends on the dog. Dogs are usually friendly with their owners and people they know.
I would say labrador because they can swim very well and are great hunting dogs.
Physically? Or as a pet? Physically, I would say generally no. Not unless you don't bathe them for months on end. As a pet, it depends on their personality when you first get the dog!
If a Golden Retriever has been well trained, it will understand almost anything you say. I have one myself, and he seems to do what I want him to do. Golden Retrievers are very smart dogs.
Labradors are hunting dogs, not dogs that were bred to guard. They do not have the protective instinct that other dogs do. They more want to say hi to everyone and make people happy.
A golden Labrador is just a Labrador with a golden or yellow fur color. It can also mean that that dog is a cross breed between a golden retriever and a Labrador. A Labrador retriever is a lab that retrieves an object such as the game that a hunter shot or a stick or toy that you threw.
Well i have a German shepherd and i know a lab and i think they grow at they same rate. if there was a difference i would say the German shepherds grows a tad faster.
I would say labradors and golden retrievers.

If you consider chasing and digging up rodents, they could be said to sporting dogs. But many say sporting dogs are those that go along while one hunts to point out game (pointers) or retrieves it (retrievers).
I have had dogs for years, especially golden retrievers, they are socialble dogs who need company. I really do not think leaving your dog for this long is very fair. RSPCA say up to 4 hours a day. I have 4 dogs and pay a dog walker to walk mine while i work, i know its expensive but that's the price you pay having dogs.
