I'm pretty sure he kicked them out of the Garden of Eden. Because of their disobedience we all grow old and die. 9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? 10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. 11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? God put them out of the garden and cursed the earth. Adam and Eve were cut off from God - their relationship broken.
Eve was to suffer in childbirth. She would be subject to her husband.
The man was sentenced to earn his livelihood from ground that was cursed with thorns and thistles. It would mean toil and sweat for him.
At the end of life, men women would return to dust.
