When Smith arrived in Jamestown he found 37 men alive out of 107 that had first settled there. A lack of food, disease, a fort on swampy land and bad water were the problems he found. He took control of the colony and made the rule that if you didn't work you didn't eat. This proved very unpopular so after a while there someone tried to murder him. While he was sleeping they poured gunpowder over him and set it on fire. He was burned and was forced to return to England. He may have met Pocahontas while there, but the story about her saving his life didn't come out until 1624 in a book about him and Jamestown. There is no historical record of this having taken place and she was dead by 1617 and buried in England.
First ,he did not find Plymouth. Plymouth was settled by the Pilgrims in 1620. John Smith came to Jamestown after it's first winter. The first ship to Jamestown in 1606 landed in a swampy mosquito area and built a fort. Within the first 3 months of the 107 who landed only 37 were still alive. This is about when Smith arrived with a supply ship. The first thing he did was make a rule that if the men didn't work they didn't eat. Up to that time one reason they were dying was that the men looked for gold instead of planting crops and they had settled in a swampy area with bad water and upset natives. The rule that Smith enforced didn't make him very popular so someone tried to kill him. While he was asleep gunpowder was sprinkled on him and then lit. He lived, but was badly burned and had to take the ship he came on back to England for treatment. After he returned to England he wrote a book telling of his adventures of the New World and put in it the story of Pocahontas to display what a hero he was. Historians do not believe this story to be true.

Nope, that's exactly what I'm looking for, but I can't find any! Probably, if you just search Sir John Hawkins into Google, you'll find a map somewhere on the page. DO NOT USE WIKIPEDIA. WIKIPEDIA HAS NO MAPS FOR VOYAGES AND HAS LITTLE INFORMATION ON HIS VOYAGES.
Smith did not find the settlement area that became Jamestown. It was found by Captain Edward Wingfield.

Yes. Captain EJ Smith on Titanic was such a favorite of the White Star Line that he was on the maiden voyages for the Adriatic, the Majestic, the Baltic, the Olympic, and Titanic.
She had nothing to do with his voyages.
