They wore dresses and pants when in sports. This was the beginning of women wearing pants. During the war, they couldn't wear nylon stockings so they drew lines up the back of their legs to represent the seam of nylon stockings

There was a lot of homemade and hand me down clothing during World War II. Clothing was rationed because priorities were making was was needed to win the war.

There wasn't really any difference except that in ww2 they used more modern methods and machinery and they were more expierienced/organised (the leading organisation/headquaters). :)
