Here is an example of militarism in World War 2. The Nazis were a militaristic party that ruled their nation with military style rule, not free democratic rule. Even the leader of the nation wore uniforms and all his leaders were in the military. Another example is in Japan where the entire society is formed around a military concept of being warriors and of worshiping their Emperor, who also often wore the uniform of the military. Their boys were trained from the time they are nine years old to be warriors and to think like warriors. With militarism it is prevailing concept and force that rules a nation and their culture. The Spartans in ancient history were an example of a society that revolved around militarism and warfare.
