The law of Gravitation from Newton was ;
'' Every matter in the universe attract each other by a line joining them with a force
which is directly proportional to the product of there masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between there centers.''
Newton used the law of universal gravitation to show why the moon orbits the earth and does not take off in a straight line from earth. He also used it to show that Kepler's laws of orbiting bodies is true, that planets orbit the sun in ellipses etc.
He turned off the TV, iPod, telephone, and computer, got balanced nutrition and
plenty of rest, stayed home for an evening, went to a quiet place, and spent some
time without distractions, thinking.
Keplers Laws confirmed Newton's Law of gravitation, especially the Period and Radius relation, R3/T2 = constant= k GM.
Newton showed that all objects in the universe attract each other through gravitational force
Newton prove gravity by means of an apple falling on his head
Newton "proved" his discovery of Gravity by the derivation of Keplers Laws.
It has never been disproved (which is what matters in science) and works. However, Einstein improved on it with his theory of general relativity.

The universal law of gravitation is given by Issac Newton.
He was in an orchard examining apples falling when he formulated the Universal Law of Gravitation.

The Law of Universal Gravitation is derived from observations by Isaac Newton, called induction.
Sir Isaac newton.
Newton arrived at his universal law of gravitation after years of hard work and . He was able to come to this conclusion after keen empirical observation which he termed as induction.
