After a while, people at home thought Lewis, Clark and the rest of the members of the Corps of Discoveries thought that they were dead.
This expedition was able to show them the route and the map of the territory, where and what everything is.
when he thought it was time.............i think maybe round 1810??
Lewis and Clark each got six hundred and forty acres plus cash. and the men got 320 acres plus cash.I think the privates and sergeants got something like $5 a day, George Druilliard got $25 a day,the captains something like $35 a day
Considering the Lewis and Clark expedition, the fact that they were part of a scientific expedition was extremely important, especially during the Age of Enlightenment. The new knowledge they obtained about the Northwest's geography, natural resources, and native inhabitants sparked American interest in the west, and strengthened the nation's claim to the area. The expedition also spread was the idea of 'Manifest Destiny' as Americans increasingly assumed a continental destiny. This opened many door for poor families to go out and prosper throughout the late nineteenth century.
I think it's Luis and Clark
Lewis and Clark I think were the people who explored the Louisiana purchase Sacajawea guided them
Lewis and Clark County, in Montana, has had more than one tornado. I don't think there was one witnessed by the people on the Lewis and Clark expedition.
i think they will need hard working people who are willing to go on the expedition
yes
I just read about this a week ago and I can't remember for sure but I think Lewis and Clark were sent to explore, and make trails in the area that was purchased in the Louisiana purchase. So I think Lewis and Clark came second.
1804 i think
Chief Cameahwait. I think.
i think Sacajawea helped right??
they gave them 5 dollar
I think Lewis and Clark would have gotten lost because they had never been in that area and no clue as to the safest way to get through the mountains. Sacagawea was their guide and she knew how to bypass mountains and avoid dangerous animals therefore keeping Lewis and Clark away from most danger giving them a safe passage to where they wanted to go.
There journey began in St.Louis (Or at least that's what most people think).Your Welcome!
Lewis and clark used Sacagawea as a sex slave. This has been erased from the history books to protect Lews and Clarks reputations. The Blackfoot Tribe claims that Lewis and Clark are responsible for the cultural genoside and rape of their tribe.
