Abraham Lincoln was much loved in the North. The North was mostly anti-slavery, and Lincoln was very much for that. That is why he won by a slim majority.
haha, no not evwn.
Abraham was from the south, not north.
whoooooever said that, is dumb
---nobody said he was from the north... they said he was very much for antislavery... reread the answer?
Actually, Lincoln represented neither; he represented the Republican party. He was thought to be an abolitionist but was more for stopping the spread of slavery into other states rather that abolishing it completely.
hey guys. he was from the south & he was for the north duh... im in hisory right now & i think i'd know i just learned about this yesterday. kay?thanks.
Diffrent people have diffrent prespectives of people but in my view i think he is one of the best presidents and one of the most important persons in our history. he had many hard decsions to make and if he did not choose the right ones are country could be split and be very diffrent. He is a very kind and helping person to us. I view him as a great person and it is very sad that he was shot. -CEK
Most people though Abraham Lincoln was a good man and a good president. He became one of the most well respected and beloved leaders in the history of America.
Since he won with only 40% of the popular vote, 60 % of the people did not vote for him. The other three candidates in the 1860 presidential elections garnered the other 60% of the popular vote.
Opinions about Lincoln as president varied widely. He was viewed as everything from warmonger, power-mad, and hateful all the way up to something near sainthood. He was extremely unpopular in the southern and border states; all of those states went to John Bell or Stephen Douglas in the election of 1860, and negative feelings toward Lincoln only increased after the election. He was quite popular in the Great Lakes region and won all of the northern states in the election. During the war, feelings toward Lincoln changed as events in the war developed. Until summer of 1863 (and the victories at Gettysburg and Vicksburg), most thought him ineffective, meddling, and foolish. By the fall of 1864, with a series of important advances in the war, his popularity again increased and he was re-elected. There were still many people throughout the north who despised Lincoln right up until his death.
he help the slavery even though he didn't save the union.
At least one guy thought of him as a target.
I know people back during the civil war did not like him at all.
Most people didn't like him because he opposed slavery
fat people tend to feel warmer than thin people because in everyone there is a layer of fat which insulates the body.In fat people there is a thicker layer of fat hence they will feel warmer as a pose thin people who have a thin layer of fat
they feel like it
it helped them
mud, dirt, guns, dead people
Like any other war before or since World War II, people living in a war zone feel worried, terrified, sad, angry, and feel the lack of control over their own circumstances. People were injured or killed, leaving sad family members. People also feared for their own lives, their children and family's lives.
He was the president of the ENTIRE country not part of it.
Winning the Civil War.
Yes, it is doubtful he would have pursued his war policy so vigorously if he had not.
He's dead!
wanting slaves to be free.
Some people did not appreciate Abraham Lincoln's choice to end slavery. Most of these people wanted to kill him, resulting in his assassination in 1865. Many historians feel his suspension of the Constitutional right of habeas corpeus during the Civil War was illegal and amoral.
The Kansas - Nebraska Act
because southerners thought Abraham Lincoln was going to remove slavery
He was resigned to the fact that so many conferderate people wanted Lincoln dead. He said if they want to assisanate me then let it be. He also wanted to reunite the confedrites and union.
He felt a real sharp pain in his head
Most probably felt devastated by the loss of their president.
Yes he didn't care
