What problems in the Aztec Empire weakened the Aztec for Spanish conquest?

Well first of all the Aztecs had inferior weapons to the Spanish soldiers, the Spanish guns still were not working as well as we would think so the weapon that was the most important one was the sword. The Aztecs thought that Hernando Cortés was Quetzalcoatl, their god that was coming back to Tenochtitlán so they just allowed him to get into the city. The neighbours of the Aztecs were angry at them for all of the taxes that they had to pay so they helped the Spanish in their was against the Aztecs.
