The heart of the victim was cut out, symbolically offered to the gods, and the lifeless bodies of the victims were rolled down the long stairs, staining the steps with blood.Usually they came to villages, cities and tribes in the middle of the night or very early in the morning to attack. They come first in silence to the kill animals so they wouldn't alert the people, then enter the house of the headman and kill them.
