On dec 21, 2012 the Mayan calendar ends and so the thought is that the world as we know it will also end ie : that's when the polar shifts are supposed to take place...check out 2012.com

∙ 13y agoTheir calander stopped at the year 2012. They predicted great upheavel, bizzare weather, ect. What I think is amazing is that they did not predict their own demise as a civilization.
