The Nazis relied mainly on:

  • Poison gas.
  • Mass open air shootings.
  • Working prisoners to death in slave labor camps.
  • Giving the victims inadequate food and no medication, which made them die of malnutrition and made them easy victims of diseases such as typhus.

The Nazis decided that gassing was by far the most efficient way of killing large numbers of victims.

* They gassed millions. * They shot thousands upon thousands in open air killing fields, mainly in the Soviet Union. * They worked Jews to death. * They starved Jews. * The forced Jews to live in highly insanitary conditions without any medication and with insufficient food. Outbreaks of deadly diseases become frequent. These were the main methods used by the SS in the Holocaust.

They sometimes gassed them after the concentration camps. If they tried to escape they would be shot. A lot of them died of diseases because of the awful hygiene in the concentration camps.
