Where some tribes went more peacefully, the Seminoles were not willing to just hand over their land. The Seminole Wars erupted in Florida. The Seminoles proved to be worthy warriors, and they were especially violent battles. Leaders, such as Osceola, knew the land and how to maneuver in it, whereas soldiers from the United States side were unfamiliar with swamp terrains. They used this to their advantage, and to some success. However, in the end, sheer numbers and superior weapons pushed the Seminoles back. They were confined to reservations. There are still many remnants of these wars throughout Florida, such as Fort Brooke in Tampa, and cities and counties named after Seminole leaders throughout the state.
The Inca Indians did have spiritual leaders. The Inca Indians had human sacrifices as a part of their religion. These sacrifices were offered along with prayer.
The Seminole Indian war chief Osceola (born Billy Powell) led his tribes fight against being removed from Florida. He was famous because he was one of the leaders of the Seminole Tribes during the second war during the 1830s in the United States. According to legend, Osceola stabbed the Treaty of Payne's Landing with his knife, refusing to agree to give up the Seminole lands. That is probably one reason why he is famous.

Jackson easy success at overpowering Spanish opposition to his forays into Florida and his taking of the forts at Pensacola and St. Augustine, convinced them that it was futile to try to hold on to their territory in Florida and along the gulf coast and west of there. Consequently the Secretary of State, Adams, found it easy to negotiate a treaty with Spain to cede Florida and all territories west, clear to the Pacific, to the US in exchange for a few million dollars.
