Us Americans got Britian to sign the Treaty of Paris. If you are wondering why it says Paris becasue: The British signed this in Paris,France. Cornwallis was trapped by us the Americans. So after a few days went by Cornwallis surendered saying "I give up." And then about 2 years later England signed the Treaty. Then they were a free country. They were happy they were not taxed by England anymore.
