well yes they Canadians did take jobs from the us and the us stopped they shut down business and canadians ran out of there items so they needed money so they went to the united states to get jobs but to also have money to buy stuff and that's also what led to the great depression and the great dust bowl so the answer is America needed to shut down buisiness so they could stop taking jobs
