The U.S. had a big role in the revolutionary. The revolutionary was a war to break free from Europe's laws. The fight was against the British also known as the "Red coats". People on the british side were called loyalist and people on the U.S. side were called patriots. George Washington became our first president after leading the U.S. side. After we won the war we became our own country. If the British won the war we would not be living here to this day. The revolutionary war was probably the most important time in the creating of America.
