firstly the freedom of black slaves in the usa does NOT come under th category of the "black death".

secondly it was abolished on February 24 1863, the black people of the time hopes that the abolishment of slavery would extend to a degree that black and white people got on and respected each other's differences. They also hped for such a tragedy to ccur never again
