As long as the dictator claims to be acting for the good of the people, he gets away with anything. The government of North Korea is known to be the last surviving Stalinist dictatorship, meaning that it is not only communist, but it is also a cult of personality, and highly paranoid and repressive. No concept of human rights exists in North Korea; only the state has rights. It is the most insane nation on Earth.
