The dodo was said to have looked like a larger version of modern pigeons and doves. It stood about a metre (3.3 feet) tall, weighed about 20kg and was said to be white. they had a curved beak.

Nobody knows for sure, because there are few registers from the XVII century about the fauna in the Mauritius Island, in the Indian ocean.
The last Dodo bird was killed probably in 1662, either by ignorant sailors (it was said the taste of a Dodo barbecue as not a very pleasant one) or by dogs that the same sailors took to these isles.
