I'm an eighth grader who recently studied the acts. The intolerable acts was the name the colonists reffered to those acts as. The British reffered to it as the coercive acts. Anyways, it closed the port of Boston until all the tea dumped from the Boston tea party was payed off, it also allowed the quartering of soldiers once again. It also limited the amount of self-government in the state of MA.
