It was successful because it was an idea whose time had come. A people that dismisses %50 of their population has disabled themselves. Women are apprxt. one half of the world's population. That is a huge resource that if ignored or left untapped, will bring down the whole group.

As women grew stronger and more vocal, men finally realized that the "fairer sex" was capable of so much more that cooking and cleaning. And for the first time, they may have realized too, that the old saying "the hand that rocks the cradle controls the world" is very true.
