The Diplodocus was huge it was infact 70 feet long and was the only exhibit where visitors were allowed to walk underneath it. Another specimen was much later added the Gorgosaurus and this was completed in 1960. In 1963 walking under the Diplodocus was stopped but now there was a Sauropod Femur that they were allowed to touch. In 1981 the hall was reopened with a new exhibit a full mount of an Allosaurus.
