Women gained a lot more respect as they had been doing a lot for there country for example the munitionettes were building bombs for the war, of course it wasn't men that were doing this but it was women! This in its self is a big thing as they had sacrificed the colour of there skin and had put themselves in a lot of danger building bombs from scratch. They were privellaged with the right to vote in 1918 as a reward but even then this was for only certain women that were 30 and owned a property, this confused the women that were under the age of 30 as they were the ones that had been doing all the work for them to just not get any respect.
