The feminist movement is still current, so women want now what they have always wanted: equality. Feminism seeks to give women equal footing socially and economically to men.
women wanted their protests to be heard because then people would treat them with more respect.
Susan B. Anthony wanted Women's Rights. More than that, she wanted women to be able to vote. Unfortunately she never go to vote, but she did help start the women's feminist movement that made the 19th Amendment possible. She drew attention to women's rights and helped inspire many other women to stand up for themselves. She was constant reminder, memory, and inspiration to women who helped keep the women's movement alive.
Of course. The feminism movement in itself isn't meant to be a "men hate" - group. Their main goals have been since the start of the movement to get women equal rights on different social subjects. Sadly, the movement is nowadays seen as a men hate movement. To answer the original question - yes, feminists can be romantics even though they are feminists. So can people who are men's rights activists. They can as well be romantics, they just want to be heard on subjects where they feel women are getting more rights.
You are a feminist if you support women's rights and the fight for gender equality. If you expect a guy to pay just because he is a guy then that isn't gender equality, however as some have been quick to point out: men are likely to make more money and have better economic standing, if one person makes more money and is more financially secure it makes sense for them to pay for the person who makes less money. If guys have a problem with this inequality then they may want to join the feminist movement so that women are economically equal to men.
The women's movement faced strong opposition because men did not take them seriously and viewed women as property. They did not want women to have rights like voting and owning their own land. To men, women were inferior.
it didn't stupid they want equal right for slaver and they want to be free to but there horrible driver and do not want the same consacwence we have as men The abolitionist movement was backed by women. Women, too, were looking for equality during this time. So, in New York, they held the Seneca Falls Convention trying to gain the right of suffrage. When their attempts failed, they started supporting the abolitionist movement, not only to free the slaves, but to gain equality across the board. Hope this helped! -AP U.S. History Student

She wanted to help women in the woman's suffrage movement to be able to vote.
how did women redefine freedom, what liberties did they want for themselves
I would not want to live in the South during the 1800s because women couldn't travel alone, women had little to no rights, and slavery was OK. For me personally, I would want absolutely nothing to do with the mistreatment of other human beings.
Black Feminism is sexism, racism, and homophobia. to help African Americans women to be equal with men If you want examples of Black Feminist literature I suggest the works of Octavia Butler see link.
Well, some people such as women that were old fashioned (old women) opposed the womens movement. Also, some men that had something against females didn't want the womens movement. Hope that helps!! :0)
