Simply, because they were not told. They were told other things. The Nazis used Propaganda, a tactic governments often use to get support from their people by not telling them the truth.
they didnt.. -_-
The goal was to make it clear what type of prisoner everyone was at a glance.
So they could capture them and send them to concentration camps
as far as i know there was no named wall separating Jews however they were separated by being put into ghettos
What's a holaust? Its when thousands of Jews died at consetration camp (i know i spelled it wrong) that's how much i know
Most Germans did not know in detail till after the war what had really happened to the Jews. They were told that the German Jews were being "resettled in Eastern Europe". Alarming rumours circulated, but most Germans chose to "hear no evil, see no evil". After all, many Germans had supported Hitler ... They weren't too keen to have to face up to the fact that they had made a grievous error of judgement.
The Nazis saw Jews as 'unclean' people. They initiated what they called a 'race purge' which we know as the massively genocidal pursuing of the Jews today, but mind you they didn't only kill Jews, actually far from it. Jews might have been the superiority of the 'races' they murdered, but they were also after handicapped, gays, people who didn't possess the sheer physical appearance that Hitler preferred (blond, short hair, blue eyes and fair skin), and gypsies, just to name a few. We only know more about the Jews because they might like bringing it up more than other folks?
Im pretty sure this is the answer to your question! The Germans new exactly who the Jews were because the Jews had to where a patch on them so that everyone knew they were a Jew. Also, stores that were owned by Jewish people, had to have a symbol or patch on their store big enough for people to see and to know that the store was owned by a Jewish person. As you can tell, it was pretty easy to know where or who a Jewish person was. Remember that the Jews also had synagogs(I think that's how you spell it). Germans could always find the Jews there also! I hope I helped you out! I got all this information from a book called, Remember the Stars, or something like that. If you want to learn more, you should read it! Good Luck!
The Germans were rounding up Jews and they wanted to hide away were no one would know were they were hiding.
The holocaust roots were bad from the beginning, the Germans just didnt know it. Adolf Hitler got a position in Germany's congress and slowly started to incorperate his soldiers into their houses. Once he had their trust he had it figured out who the Jews were and he sent them to horrible concentration camps. He also took war prisoners, political prisoners, and anyone who tried to protest the holocaust or hide Jews. Hitler did this because he thought that the Jewish were a whole diffrent race and that they were the lowest form of life on the planet and Germans were the highest. Scince this is what he thought he decided Jews didn't have the right to live, and so became the holocaust.
Most Germans did know, at least that the camps existed. Some kidded themselves that they were just forced labor camps. Some knew they were death camps, but as it was "just Jews", they didn't care.
yes the Germans do. how do i know? i lived in Germany!
