Troops sent to the Nam received numerous shots before going in country. Dengue fever, yellow fever, gamma globulin(GG), plague were just a few. The GG were given in the buttocks and the amount depended on weight. Hurt like Hell and stayed hurting for days. Because I weighed 230# at the time, I was lucky enough to get two, one in each cheek, then had to sit in an airline seat for 12 hours.
